Joe Thomas first made his mark on the outdoor industry as a professional bass angler competing on the Bassmaster Elite Series Tour. Today, Thomas hosts two popular fishing shows on Outdoor Channel; Pelican’s Ultimate Match Fishing and STIHL’s Reel in the Outdoors.
It was ultimately Joe’s passion for bow hunting that led him to prominence in the hunting world as host of several Outdoor Channel hunting series over the past 12 years. Joe hosted both High Places and Ultimate Hunting for several seasons which led to his position today as co-host of the iconic bow hunting series American Archer® which reaches nearly 10 million viewers annually on Outdoor Channel.
Joe recently completed a documentary series titled “The 29” for My Outdoor TV, Outdoor Channel’s streaming service. This 10 part series chronicles Thomas’ quest for and completion of the Super Slam by taking all 29 big games species in North America, an accomplishment that has only been achieved by a handful of hunters. Joe Thomas also has 17 entries in the Pope & Young archery record book.
